Hello, I have a Toshiba Camileo camcorder and I have two problems:

The first one is that I can't zoom while recording.

The second, more serious, is that even after installing the drivers, when I connect the camcorder to my PC via USB, the connection is unstable and the Camileo keeps disconnecting and reconnecting all the time.

Please help me, I don't know what to do anymore - thank you 
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.3

      Here, I had the same problem as you. I called, you have to send back your camcorder, but call them first, they will exchange it for you.

      Regarding the Camileo camcorder, I cannot charge it. I saw in your message that you called them to have it exchanged.
      I think I need to do the same since I can't find any way to charge it. However, I couldn't find their phone number; I don't know where you got it, but could you please share it with me?

      Hello, I had the same problem as you, but I removed the battery and blew on it, and it worked again, so give it a try.

      It seems that your battery is improperly positioned, so it won't charge, but it’s functioning fine. Check the manual, it's clearly stated. Rotate your battery and everything will be back to normal...

      I had the same problem when I bought this camcorder online that broke down just before the end of the warranty: impossible to charge it all at once! I sent it back and despite receiving a new one, it broke down again with the first few battery charges! I will send it back again... I'm questioning its reliability! Have you found a solution since then?

      Indeed, the problem with this model is quite common! Likewise, there's an issue with the battery, impossible to charge it, whether via USB or through the charger!

      So, I would be tempted to buy a new battery, but is the problem really with the battery or is it an issue with the camcorder? That is the question...

    Does anyone know how to transfer videos from the camcorder to the PC while keeping the sound? I'm using VLC, with a License, which indicates that there is an audio track... Thank you for your responses.

    Hello, I have the same camcorder. We can zoom; we just need to change the resolution to HD because it is in FHD... and that's it. The resolution can be found in the menu. However, I have a small issue... when I make a video, I can't pause and then continue the same video... please respond to me.

    To all those who have battery charging problems

    if you can't charge your battery, simply reverse it

    in one orientation your battery works but doesn't charge

    in the other orientation your battery works and charges

    the battery has three contacts: one negative (-) in the middle and two positives (+)
    one of them allows charging and the other does not

    the camcorder itself only has two contacts

    reversing your battery is completely safe

    Hello, when I film with the camcorder, I cannot view the movies and photos directly on the camcorder's screen. I press the play button which symbolizes the viewing menu for movies and photos, and my screen goes black and I can't do anything else, so I have to remove the battery every time.
    If you have a solution...

    Hello, I actually have a problem with the Camileo Pro. I can't turn it on anymore, even though I've only had it for a month. It was working fine at first, and then all of a sudden, it just stopped turning on. However, when I charge it, the lights come on. So if anyone could help me, that would be super nice. Thank you!

      I have the same problem, my camcorder won't turn on, but when I charge it, the charge light turns red. Besides, I'm no longer under warranty. This really bothers me!!! Thank you for contacting me if you have a solution!

    I believe that the Toshiba Camileo is not as good as it is rated
    because it's difficult to understand how to reset the camcorder
    they are not compatible with Mac unless you do a million maneuvers
    I was disappointed because I received it for this Christmas and I have to return it
    moreover, it had everything included but still
    I think it doesn't deserve a 9/10 rating
    really, I do not recommend you buy it

      I know your message is old (2007) but I’m having connection problems with my camcorder and my Mac... it doesn’t recognize it at all!

      You mentioned "a thousand maneuvers" to get it to work... which ones????

        I'm back from a trip to the USA (I'm writing from Munich airport).
        Alternating with my Canon camera, I constantly used the Camileo (always at my belt).

        Every evening, with a USB cable and iPhoto, I managed to easily recover the films and photos.

        You should definitely give iPhoto a try.

        Otherwise, by putting your flash memory into an adapter, you should be able to do it too.

    I can't recharge my camcorder when the batteries are empty.
    I connected it with the USB cable but nothing happened.
    There is no charger included in the accessories.
    Can it be recharged with the PC?

      this camcorder does not charge with the USB port according to all the forums I've visited you need the charger (wall plug) that should normally have come with your camcorder
      in any case I'm experiencing the same problem, I have two, one doesn't charge at all and one charges but the screen stays black, both are new it's really strange

    Same USB battery charging issue after 1 month of using my Camileo Pro. Given the number of posts about this problem, it’s a design flaw.

    For those whose device is no longer under warranty, you can still recharge the battery with an NP 60 battery charger, which can be found in most electronics stores (20-30 euros). It works very well this way.

    To respond to Totuounette about her connection issue with a Mac... I'm on a Mac Book, and I just had to plug in the USB that came with the Camileo, and everything went smoothly, iPhoto opened instantly, and it prompted me to properly download the films and photos taken. The films will open without any issues with Quick Time or VLC... and the photos are in decent JPEG quality, that's for sure... No, I have a problem, I'm looking for the driver in French... because indeed, on the CD, as noted above in this post, there's nothing on the CD that helps us (even more so if we're on Mac... it doesn't recognize .exe files!)

      Hello dahu-73, I also have a MacBook Tiger. When I connect my Camiléo to the Mac, I have no issues with the photos, but there is no sound with the video playback in QuickTime Player. To work on these videos with iMovie, I need to start with QuickTime (I have sound with MPayer!!!). Do you have a solution for this sound problem? Thank you.

      I'm having a problem where my MacBook won't play videos; QuickTime doesn't open them and just shows a black screen! (even with QuickTime Pro!) And with VLC, the notion of full-HD is almost nonexistent... does anyone know what to do?

    I don’t know how to reset the video counter to zero...

    However, it is possible to zoom while filming. You have to disable the image stabilizer.

    Salut, I just got the Camiléo and everything works very well, but I can't figure out how to put music, e-books, or even videos from my laptop onto my Camiléo (I'm using Vista). I can drag and drop a piece of music into my Camiléo, but once I disconnect it and go to the music section on the screen, it says: "no files." Please give me some advice.
