Hello,
I have an issue with two PCs.
One is a HP Pro running Win7 64 with ATI hardware.
My screen has been very dark since this morning. Knowing Windows well, I’m looking for the appropriate settings in power options, but it turns out that the "Adjust screen brightness" menu no longer appears.
The screen accessible from [Windows]+[X] isn’t working either.
Strangely, I noticed the same problem on my personal PC last night, except that in this case, the brightness is turned all the way up and the adjustment is still not available. This PC is a Lenovo with an Intel chipset.
Both PCs are running Win7 64, one is professional and the other is home.
Has anyone ever had this problem? Could it be a Windows update causing it? It’s strange that two machines have the same issue at the same time.
Thanks in advance.
Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 30.0.1599.101

Hello,
go to Start
type
Device Manager and enter
go to Monitor "the one in question"
right-click and uninstall make sure the driver is uninstalled as well
there you go, it's done normally you should be able to adjust the brightness again

A big thank you, a few hours of struggle trying to fix the brightness on my Asus laptop until I came across your message... Everything is working again! ;)
