After installing Windows 7 on some PCs intended for Vista or XP, the keyboard keys to reduce brightness do not work.

Manually, the adjustment is possible:

-control panel

-power options

I have the same issue with my HP 6735 PC after installing Windows 7 (it was designed for Vista), maybe it's a compatibility problem!
