Half white screen.

Hello! Since last night, my Acer Aspire 7250 has been displaying a large white stripe at the bottom of the screen, making it impossible to start. It hasn't been dropped or anything.. I really need it and the warranty expired 3 months ago... I have a screenshot but I don’t know how to add the photo from my phone. Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
    Try moving your screen; the issue may come from a faulty ribbon cable or a poorly connected ribbon cable. Over time, ribbon cables deteriorate from frequently opening and closing your lid.

    How much does a slab cost approximately?
    I have already removed it to check the cable behind the screen, so I'm not worried about that :)

    Hello, I moved my screen unsuccessfully. I also disassembled it, but the cable is properly connected. Thank you for your help.

    The problem comes from your Dalle; it’s a recurring issue with Acer. The only solution would be to take it to a service center and get an estimate.

    Thank you. I looked it up on Google and apparently replacing the slab costs about as much as a new computer, so I'm going to think about it. Can't we do it ourselves?

    It is quite possible, especially since it's not really difficult; you just need to be delicate.
    Be sure to look online for how to disassemble your PC, as on some Acer models, the method for removing the screen is different.

    Yes, it's the right screen, just check that there is no inverter in your PC, as this screen is LED.

    The inverter is an electronic board used to power the neon light found in the panel.
    The neon requires a high voltage (100v). An inverter looks like this. Today, this technology is outdated because it consumes a lot of battery. Now we use LED panels because they don't consume much and can do without an inverter.

    Sorry for the delay,
    So, I don't see an inverter in your photos; it's normal for there to be electronic circuits in the panel.

    So you do have an LED panel; an inverter is not included in the panel, it is located just underneath.

      Okay, because I forgot the graphics card test, connect the computer to an external monitor to see if the white band is still there. The problem comes either from there or from the screen.

      P.S: I reread all the posts and I realized that I had used the informal "you," I didn't pay attention, sorry :)

    On an external screen, I don't have this problem, everything works normally :)

    So the problem really comes from the slab. There is no other solution than to order a new one.

      Just remove the frame around your panel, unplug the ribbon cable connected to the panel, and reconnect it to the new panel.

      There is no need to disconnect the ribbon cable from the motherboard; however, be careful not to pull too hard on the ribbon cable, as it may disconnect from the motherboard and cause a loose connection.

      Yes, I assure you it’s really not complicated, just pay attention to the screws. If you see that the panel doesn’t want to come out, check if you haven’t forgotten any screws; they can sometimes be well hidden.
