How to recover a dirty NTFS partition?

Hello, I bought a 500GB "backup plus" external hard drive to replace my old VCR and twice in 15 days it has refused any recording after working well for about ten movies. It shows me the message "write impossible, dirty ntfs partition, please recover it on PC." The first time I deleted all my recordings and was able to record again, but if I have to erase everything each time...

    Format the disk again to attempt a repair

      NB, I tried to download a data recovery tool below, but it turned out to be a virus; I got rid of it with AdwCleaner...

    Hello, I emptied my hard drive and formatted it from the PC, but the problem didn't change, meaning I couldn't save on my HD TNT decoder and still got the same message "dirty partition, etc...". So I formatted it from the decoder and I can record again, for how long? Additionally, the seller suggested I check the PVR through the TNT decoder menu, which I did. It turns out that in the PVR settings, the films were set for a maximum duration of 2 hours, but if I recorded a series of multiple films in a row, it would cause cut-offs, so I set this film duration to automatic. That’s where I’m at; I started a series of recordings of 5h30, stay tuned, I'll keep you posted. Nevertheless, if you have any suggestions, I'm all ears. Thanks and see you later.

      I also had a similar problem with a Samba HD decoder... it was necessary to intervene to modify the factory settings that only accounted for 2 hours of recording.

      Since then it works perfectly..

    By the way, it took me a while to reply but I couldn't access my emails or reach you, I don't know if you know but I encountered "error 12029" which blocks the whole system. I managed to get out of it by reconfiguring. Heads up to anyone who experiences this, I think it's the simplest solution to get out of this mess. Bye.
