Hello, I have a problem with video capture from my JVC GR D320 camcorder via the computer using an EasyCAP cable with 3 RCA inputs to 1 USB2. It worked once a year ago, and now it no longer captures video, displaying a black screen. Can someone explain what kind of problem I have? Thank you in advance.

Hello, there are many castaways on the forum because of this box

For those who bought an Easycap DC60++ and are struggling because it plays your videos in black and white, the solution has been found by an internet user:
Plug your device into your PC (this is important), open your honestech program, then click on video settings (logo resembling 2 nuts), a window opens, then click on command, another window opens and select the little black arrow, click on PAL_B and scroll down to SECAM L_1 then click on apply and ok, all while playing your VHS video.
Everything is in color!!!!
I hope this will be a great help to you.

Thank you for the proposed procedure. I have already tried everything; I have the installation CD, the SMI grabber device box is well detected, my RCA cable works fine on the TV. I conclude that the box input is dead, and I just need to buy a new one. Goodbye and thank you.

Hello, I bought another capture box with a capture CD but nothing was working. I found the driver for the capture box online, the capture CD is probably just a poor-quality Chinese copy. Just to say that the cheap equipment, at 12€ on Primester, is worth nothing. Goodbye.

I say it repeatedly that I don’t have any shares in "Dazzle Video Creator," but it’s a well-known and reliable product. If it’s too expensive brand new, check Le Bon Coin; there are plenty for sale from people who no longer have a use for it.
Video transfer box
to transfer content from a VHS, VHS-C, 8mm, Hi8 analog tape or an analog video stream, you need to connect the camcorder or VCR or other device to an "external box" that handles the "hardware" conversion of the analog stream to "digital" and then connect the box to the computer via a USB cable. The file is converted to MPEG2, an easy-to-burn format compatible with all players, and there’s the possibility of editing with "Studio."
You connect the box to the camcorder or VCR with an S-VHS cable, which is recommended, or a composite (less good) (RCA yellow) along with a sound cable (2 RCA red, white). For the VCR, a SCART connection is needed with an adapter or cable with the "out" direction or with an in-out switch for S-VHS or composite RCA yellow output (less good) plus sound, two RCA outputs red, white.
Remember to select PAL to get color.
I recommend the Dazzle box, either "Recorder" DVD only or Video HD, Creator, or Platinum depending on your needs if you want to "arrange" your films with titles and music.
The price of the advanced editing software STUDIO 14 HD (valued alone at €61) provided with this box in "Creator" and "Platinum" version makes the product interesting.
You can also find it second-hand online and resell it when you no longer need it.
There are exotic products like USB keys and four wires, cheaper, but be careful, they often lead to headaches, as read in messages from desperate members on the forum.
The format is 4:3 so the image quality can only be judged on a home TV screen. The link:

Hello, you are right; if we want a device that works, we need quality that comes at a price, not copies. Goodbye and thank you for the advice.
