Hello, I just bought this printer, I installed it and everything went well. I tried to connect a second computer to the printer. I did exactly the same thing but with the other computer, but it didn't work. The next day when I turned on the printer, the Wi-Fi light didn't turn on, I pressed the Wi-Fi button and it flashed orange. Since then, the computer can no longer find the printer and the Wi-Fi light keeps flashing orange and I can't print anymore. But I can still make copies, that's already something!!! Help me, thank you!!!!

    Hello,

From what I understand, you missed something in the WIFI configuration. Very likely due to a lack of information.

For WIFI, we do not connect the printer to the computer. Nope!

In WIFI, we connect the printer to the WIFI network managed by the BOX. The BOX is also referred to in documentation as "the access point".

It is the BOX that manages the networks (WIFI, wired, internet...) and acts as a gateway between your home network and the internet.

It is the BOX that assigns TCP/IP addresses to the network components (server DHCP for computers, printers...).

In short, we first connect the printer to the BOX via WIFI. Then, we install the printer (the printer drivers, actually) on each of the computers on the network. The BOX automatically shares the printer and allows the operating systems to find it without issue.

To install/connect the printer to the BOX, you have a protocol (quite "recent") called WPS == WIFI PROTECTED SETUP. Basically, you have nothing else to do but press the pairing WIFI buttons on the printer (the one marked "WIFI") and on the BOX (see its documentation). It's so simple that I connected an EPSON PX820FWD to my WIFI network in 52 seconds to print photos from my iPhone with EPSON iPrint...

Then, you install the drivers on the computers specifying "...network..."
This part is also very simple with Windows, and I imagine it shouldn't be more complicated with LINUX or MAC OS...

    And it will work.

If I went a bit fast or if you have other questions, don't hesitate. I also started one day and I wasn't very confident!!!

    Best regards to all.

PS: EPSON iPrint has no relation to the iPRint software.

      Hi, I have the XP-412
I've been trying to install this XP-412 printer for 12 hours... to no avail!
Bought yesterday, the CD doesn't work directly, you need to load #40MB.
The programs call each other, freeze (they start by default WITHOUT access permissions).
I bought it for direct wireless printing. Inaccessible after 12 hours of successive installations. NO clear explanation.
UNUSABLE PRODUCT - NO SOFTWARE EFFORT
      XP-412 AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Fortunately, it's Sunday, otherwise I would have returned it to "PATISSIER".

I had the same issue and the solution proposed above didn't work for me.

I installed the software on my PC, turned on my printer, and pressed the button located near the Wi-Fi button (a button with a page and a large 'i' in the middle) for a few seconds, then I pressed the Wi-Fi button for 3 seconds and the Wi-Fi indicator turned green, and I was finally able to print wirelessly.
