Hello,
I downloaded FBACKUP5, but the screens are in English. I read that it is possible to have a translation in several languages. I'm stuck on this because I can't find the place where there is a dropdown or a flag to choose.
It seems to me that this software is quite easy to use. It's exactly what I need.
Please explain to me as simply as possible how to obtain the translation, and I will try to set it up.
I belong to the BIC generation, and my computer skills are rudimentary.
I really need your help... without CCM I would have certainly given up on the computer!

    Choose software in French, it will be much simpler.

      I had downloaded Cobian Backup 11 and also Groobax for comparison, and I would also like to do it with Fbackup. My only issue for now is the translation. After that, I will choose between the three. I also printed out the Cobian tutorial, which is very clear.
      The simplicity of Fbackup's interface would suit me.
      Thank you for your response, and I take note of your advice for Cobian. But I need to know how to translate Fbackup.

      I installed "FBackup".
      No translation into French possible.
      No "plug-in".
      Not even capable of making an image (Ghost).
      Rubbish.
      Forget it.

      Personally, I've been using "Acronis True Image" for years.
      Images (Ghost) and backups every week,
      and occasional restorations, without any hassle.

      It's up to you.

      Thank you Antipolis for dedicating your time to test FBackup.
      You are right: I'm giving up, it's useless. I must have made a big mistake! ..
      I will check Acronis True Image. Since you are very satisfied with it, I might adopt it if it's available in French with a good tutorial.
      If needed, I will reach out to CCM.

      Antipolis, we're talking about backup software, not system imaging!
      When you're a noob, it's best to refrain from responding, especially to give this type of answer!
      Fbackup is excellent, especially in managing VSS
      Version 4.9, which should still be available, is in French.

        The current version 5.5 (2015) in English also offers French. You just need to go to Files, then Options, and select French from the dropdown menu.

    Hello Ronin,

    Your message came at the right time. I ended up choosing SynckBack. Everything was fine until one day it went off the rails (see my question from 10/5/13 "SynckBack 955 errors during the last backup").

    After reading your message, I looked for the software and a tutorial for Fbackup 4.9. It's installed, and the first backup found an error with all the documents copied in MIRROR mode. The backup took more than 24 hours. I couldn't spot the anomaly in the list of copied files. The second backup will start at 8 PM. I hope it goes faster and that I can find the file causing the issue.
