Hello, I just bought a new Brother DCP-9020CDW printer, I installed it and in my settings it says it's ready, but when I try to print a document, whether it's a PDF or a photo, it prints special characters, hearts, letters, and smileys. I've tried everything, I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, and nothing works, I have several computers and it doesn’t work on any of them, I don't know what to do anymore, and I need to print this document by tomorrow :/ If anyone has a solution, please let me know, thanks!

Hello,

According to what you said, it seems to be a communication problem between the drivers and the printer.

Either the drivers are poorly installed, or they are intended for a different model of printer. Or your computer has a nasty virus that is messing up the prints....

The ideal is to properly uninstall the drivers. Restart your computer to get rid of the stubborn components of the driver. Do a little registry scan with CCleaner from Piriform.

Then, download the correct drivers from a reliable source: the manufacturer's website, in the “support/downloads” section.

Then reinstall the right driver, the one that corresponds to your printer model.

A little anti-virus scan can't hurt you....

Best regards to all users of cartridges and printers of all kinds and brands.

There is nothing programmable in obsolescence. This pseudo explanation called “planned obsolescence” does not withstand thorough examination or confrontation with experience.

If it's resolved, think of others and let us know how you did it. Then mark the question as “RESOLVED”
