Hello.
And thank you to the person or people who will be kind enough to help me.
First of all, let me introduce myself, I am a little old man over 72 years old, who has fun and keeps busy thanks to a portable computer that is
equipped with Windows Vista. I should add that I know nothing about computers, and that I don't understand anything about English.
As antivirus protection, I have Bit Defender Internet Security 2009.
My problem is the following.
Following a complete scan this morning by my antivirus BitDefender,
Could you tell me what Unscanned Objects (Password Protected)
means which is found at the end of the scan.
And possibly, how to remedy this.
THANK YOU

Hello, I had the same problem and it was resolved by cleaning my PC with CCleaner, which will clean the temporary files from Windows. After running CCleaner, you do a thorough scan again and you will notice that the password-protected files that could not be scanned will have disappeared. Best regards.
-
You're welcome, but if it happens again, clean it with CCleaner and the problem will be solved. See you!

There is never a shortcut to places worth going - Beverley Sills -
If there are no viruses, it's normal that there is no detailed report.
So your PC is healthy. Don't worry about the unscanned files from Avast.

Thank you, fortunately the problem has been resolved since then.
But it's very kind of you to be concerned
about my troubles.
