Restart my PC after a long period of inactivity

Solved

Hello,

Here it is, I bought a PC a few months ago (less than a year but almost) and since then I haven’t used my old PC.
I wanted to restart it to recover some documents but it doesn’t turn on anymore.
Is there a way to recover it or if it doesn’t turn on anymore it means it’s dead?
When I plug in the charger no indicator light comes on either...
Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 22.0

    Hello,
Try another power cable, yours may be damaged.

Actually the cable seems to be working since the indicator light is on; I don’t recall leaving the PC without a battery, so it should normally power on without the cable, right?
in any case thanks for the quick reply :)

The battery may have drained, after all this time.

Anyone in your circle who could lend you one? Too bad...

To recover your documents, you could remove the hard drive from the old computer and connect it to the new one as an external USB drive. There are enclosures for that purpose.

It seems like I’m the only one who tried the Samsung experiment :(

    Hi,
it might be a power supply issue. what is a branded PC or a PC assembled by you or a builder?

The PC is a Samsung R610, which I bought several years ago; it was getting tired, so I bought another one and I planned to use this one only occasionally
      Thanks for your help :)

if it's a laptop this method you can't...
okay but you can try something else it worked for me twice.
plug it in to the mains and lift the battery to see if it starts.
i have a pc that does it to me still if i put in my battery which is dead it won't start.
