Hello,
I am currently at a friend's house. His desktop computer, a HP TouchSmart 520, has always been connected via wifi to the Livebox router.
This morning we turned on the computer and now it is impossible to connect via wifi. During the troubleshooting suggested by Windows 7, the result indicates that the ethernet cable is not plugged in. However, the computer is still connected via wifi.
Despite several restarts of the desktop PC and the router, nothing helps.
When searching for a connection to a network, no networks are available. I have the impression that the entire wifi has been disabled since it cannot detect any wireless networks.
So I tried to access the network card, Realtek, which appears to be disconnected, even after disabling/enabling it several times.
I have since connected via wifi with my laptop (I am contacting you through this one). I accessed the Livebox (with the admin password etc.) to check that the desktop PC is not blacklisted or anything. It is not.
Does anyone have a solution before I have to contact HP?
Thank you in advance,
Synock

Hello, what you are showing us is the Ethernet network card so it’s normal that it’s not connected
apparently your problem comes from the PC's Wi-Fi card
Check in the device manager if there’s any issue with the Wi-Fi card -
Thank you for your quick response,
the card does not appear in the manager. Only the Ethernet card.
I have searched for modifications and nothing changes.
Would a system restore be necessary/useful? -
After a call to HP's hotline, I resolved the issue simply by restoring the PC to an earlier date.
Thank you for your help, see you soon!
