TV sound, crackling

Hello, I just bought a 107 cm LG TV (model 42PN450B), and when I turn on the TV, the sound makes a weird noise, a sort of crackling, tip-tip-tidip-tip-tidip-tip. What could it be coming from, considering it's brand new!

Hi,

A little screw improperly fixed, dirt in the speaker, a simple speaker failure... It could be due to a lot of things, in any case, it's off to the customer service with the TV... If it's brand new, they'll exchange it for you.

But the sound is minimal and I think that after all it might be normal to hear a little noise behind the TV??

  No, no, on a a £400 LG TV it's not normal to hear interference, believe me...
  Honestly, go to customer service, it's the best thing you can do. You'll see what they think, and it won't cost you anything :-)

It must be the screws, I'm not really handy; I screwed the screws to hang it on the support (to place it on the furniture), but I'm far from sure it's done correctly.

  No, if it's the screws, they are probably not the ones screwed into the bracket, but the ones that secure the speakers inside the TV itself. It's a manufacturing defect, that's why I'm suggesting you take it to customer service and make a warranty claim.

  ok but maybe it could not come from the TV, maybe from the cable that connects the TV to the antenna on the roof.

  If the speakers indeed have an issue, they will probably replace it for you. Generally, they send the TV back to LG, who takes care of making the repairs to identify the source of the problem and correct it in future models.
  But you can always ask.
