ccleaner update impossible Solved

Question

Hello everyone, I tried to update Ccleaner 4.01, as usual.
However, when I wanted to replace it with version 4.02, a familiar window appeared but the installation gets stuck and nothing happens.
Following advice from forums, I uninstalled the old version but I can't install the new one. I had to do a restore to get Ccleaner back.
I even disabled Avast and the firewalls but again, nothing, still the same window that freezes.
Thinking there might be an orphaned entry in the registry, I did a cleaning but, disaster... I had to do a restore to regain control.
It's a pity I don't know how to insert an image in this email, but it's the window that indicates Ccleaner is installing, with at the top a prompt to install Google Chrome. The "install" button is grayed out and that's it, the image stays like that, even after several dozen minutes.
In the task manager, the status shows that Ccleaner is being installed, but there's no reaction.
I'm on W7 64bts, 4 GB, quad-core processor 3.0GHz, 1 TB HDD.
Help!!!!!!

Well there it is !!!!
Thanks to Kaneagle's stubbornness and insight, the problem is solved !!!
As they say, one must show humility in computing; I stupidly thought I had done what was necessary, but I was just going in circles........everyone knows that in computing, the solution is right under the user's nose without them seeing it !!!
I therefore performed a full scan with Malwarebytes, which found Trojan.Downloader and Trojan.FakeAlert, while my little programs hadn’t found anything, even in safe mode !!!
I then carried out a complete cleanup following the log's protocol.
I restarted the machine and then successfully installed version 4.03 of CCleaner.
Long live help forums.........of course, and of course, CCM !!!

Hello,  The current version is 4.03.4151, you can download it here: https://filehippo.com/fr/download_ccleaner/ at the top right for the download, and not the Google whatever that's suggested.

Uninstall CCleaner with --> Revo-uninstaller  Check out this --> tutorial  Afterwards, restart the PC Go delete the CCleaner folder in: C\program files or program files (x86)  Right-click on the CCleaner 4.03 setup Choose --> run as administrator and confirm Start the installation.  -- Humans are at their best when things are at their worst

I deleted it and restarted the installation of version 4.03, but it still gets stuck in the same place. For your information, the folder was not in program files but in programs.

Go to Start
All Programs
Accessories
Right-click on --> Run
Choose --> run as administrator and confirm
Type: regedit and OK

At the top, click on edit
Find (Ctrl+F)
Type: piriform
Check the keys, values, data boxes and click next.

The search begins; when a file appears, delete everything related to piriform, then press F3 to continue the search and do the same until the end of the search.

Repeat the same procedure by typing: ccleaner

Well, I had already done this manipulation, just to be sure, I did what you recommended:
Deleting all lines, Piriform and CCleaner.
I just restarted the machine, it doesn't work, it still hangs at the same place....!!!
What’s amazing is that CCleaner doesn't want to work.
If installation hadn't worked, I wouldn't have been able to install Revo, right?? QED!!

Download and install -->  MalwareBytes Uncheck the box --> Enable the free trial of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Pro Update the product Run it as an administrator  Start the --> full scan After the scan, click on view results If positive, check all Remove the selection.
