Hello everyone, I am reaching out to you in hopes of finding a solution to my problem. Here’s my explanation: I am browsing using the latest version of Internet Explorer and I want to erase the visited web pages!

So I go to the Tools menu, Internet Options, delete temporary internet files, delete cookies, delete history and I execute the delete each time to supposedly erase!

But it turns out that the history is hardly erased because it seems there is another manipulation to do to find the history even apparently erased, so there would still be traces after all?

Help, pleaseConfiguration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello

How can I delete the dropdown list of previous searches?

You can clear your search history from the Google search box, the Google toolbar, and your browser. Below are instructions for these three methods.

CLEARING GOOGLE SEARCH BOX HISTORY

The search history that appears in the search box on the Google homepage is stored by the browser, not Google. Below are instructions to disable this history in the most common browsers. If your browser is not mentioned, we recommend checking the online help center associated with it.

Microsoft Internet Explorer
1. Open the "Tools" menu.
2. Select "Internet Options", then the "Content" tab.
3. In the "Personal Information" section, click on "AutoComplete".
4. Click "Clear Forms". You can also uncheck the "Forms" box in this same window to prevent future storage of this information.
5. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.

You can also delete individual entries from the search history by selecting them with the Down Arrow key and pressing Delete.

MSN
If you are using the Microsoft Network (MSN), the changes made in Internet Explorer (IE) will apply to your MSN browser when you sign out of MSN and sign back in.

Mozilla Firefox
1. Open the "Tools" menu.
2. Choose "Options" > "Privacy" > "Forms".
3. Click "Clear" and uncheck the box.
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.

Safari
1. Open the "Safari" menu and select "Preferences".
2. In the dropdown menus, select "AutoFill".
3. Find the "Other Forms" line and click on the "Edit" button.
4. In the list of sites currently using the auto-fill feature, choose "Google.fr" > "Clear" > "Done".

CLEARING YOUR GOOGLE TOOLBAR HISTORY

To clear search history from the dropdown text box on the Google toolbar:

1. Click on the multicolored Google logo button on the toolbar to open the menu.
2. Select the "Clear History" option.

If you want to completely disable search history with the toolbar, click on the "Options" button on the toolbar, then uncheck the "Search History Dropdown List" box.

Note that this will only remove the history from the toolbar. This history is independent of that stored by your browser.

CLEARING YOUR BROWSER HISTORY

As with the Google search box, the search history associated with the address bar on the Google homepage is stored by the browser, not Google. Below are instructions to clear or disable this history in the most common browsers. If your browser is not mentioned, we recommend checking the online help center associated with it.

Microsoft Internet Explorer
1. Open the "Tools" menu.
2. Select "Internet Options", then the "General" tab.
3. Click the "Delete History" button. To completely disable your browser's history, set the "Days to keep pages in history" option to 0 (zero).
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.

MSN
If you are using the Microsoft Network (MSN), the changes made in Internet Explorer (IE) will apply to your MSN browser. To do this, after making the desired changes in IE, sign out of MSN and then sign back in.

Mozilla Firefox
1. Open the "Tools" menu.
2. Choose "Options" > "Privacy" > "History".
3. Click "Clear". To completely disable your browser's history, set the "Remember visited pages for X days" option to 0 (zero).
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.

Safari
1. Click on "History" in the top menu.
2. Click on "Clear History" at the bottom of the menu.

first check if you haven't added it to your favorites

otherwise, no matter what you do, you won't be able to delete it
