Can deleted browsing history be recovered? Solved/Closed

Hello,

I'm reaching out for your advice because I've noticed that my boyfriend has created a guest session to visit *** sites. The problem is that he clears the browsing history at the end of each session.
I've tried talking to him about it, but he doesn't want to, and I would really like to know what he's looking at when I'm not around so I know what to think.
Especially since I found out that he's been visiting dating and chat sites and he's even paying for it....
Thanks for your help.
I've tried almost everything to recover this history (restoration, opening the index.dat file...) but nothing has worked!

go to Google Desktop and enter either their username or email address, basically a few keywords... then click on the caches and there you have the history of EVERYTHING ABSOLUTELY, even if the little trickster deletes their history unless they are really very crafty and also go to Desktop and delete it. Beware of nasty surprises! That's how I realized I was with a liar!!!!!

If you really want to know where your husbands or partners go, there are what you call keyloggers that can be invisible. These are small programs that record every keystroke, and you can then read it in a file that only you know exists!

jiji, for the history there's not much to do if he deletes it... anyway, if you want to know if he has a MSN address that he might be hiding from you, go to start then control panel and internet options, then in the general section click on settings in the browsing history and then view files and on the left you'll see it says messenger... click on it and you'll see all the MSN addresses that connect to your computer... there you go.

Registering for a Google account is a good idea. The problem is that it shows on the Google homepage because the email address is noted. I don't know if it's possible to hide it.
However, it's simpler if you have a Mac, as the Google search is usually done on the Safari page in the search tab at the top right. And there, if you have connected your Google account, it won't be visible.
Just a reminder, to recover Google history, you absolutely must be logged into Google and your search must be done on Google. And it works, even if you delete the history and especially it works even if you go into private browsing on Safari. And the best part is that you can check remotely, just by logging into your Google account.

Hello, I found the great solution to see the visited sites even with the history cleared
you go to the control panel, internet options, in the internet properties next to delete history you click on settings and then click on view files it takes you to the "temporary internet files" folder
you have all the sites, the dates, times, and going back to a long time ago

Then you need to create a Google account (a tip: keep your password to yourself). Hello everyone! I'm a bit in the same situation as you, my boyfriend is really good at computer stuff and six months ago I snooped around and to my great surprise I found some pretty unsavory sites...................
I really can't stand that, he knows it and promised me he wouldn't do it again (lol)
and when I check, I find the history has been deleted.
He uses Mozilla and has Vista.

I couldn't bear to be with someone who visits that kind of site!
How can I find the history (knowing that he doesn't let me access his computer or he has to be next to me, hence my suspicion of lies...)
