Forced to reset every time Chrome is opened!

Hello,

For the past few days, I've had to reset Google Chrome every time I open it!
It's getting annoying!

When it connects with my account, there's always "synchronization error, please reconnect"!

However, all my passwords and other logins are saved - but not access to Google!
What should I do?

Configuration: Windows XP / Chrome 26.0.1410.64

    Hi,

What do you mean by reset?

Do you mean that you have to create a new profile every time?

Reset = the term used by the message Google Chrome.
That is to say, I have to enter my password every time > it is rejected (Although it is the correct one) > then Google sends me a link via Email, which I have to click to "reset" the connection!

And when it resets > there is a small icon at the top right, (a dot?) = that asks me to "resynchronize"! You might ask me what that is? = I have to click on the link that appears.

ok, so we're going to reset it this way:

    Close Google Chrome

Use the keyboard shortcut Windows + R

Enter the path to the appropriate directory in the address bar:

    %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\

    Click on OK

In the directory window that opens, locate the folder named "Default" and rename it to "Backup default".

    Close the windows.

    Then open Google Chrome.

A new "Default" folder is created automatically when the browser opens.

    To recover your bookmarks:

Copy the "Bookmarks.bak" file from the "Backup default" folder and paste it into the new "Default" folder.

Once the file is moved, rename it to "Bookmarks" to complete the transfer.

    Recover your Favicons and passwords:

In the backup default folder, you have the Favicons and Login Data files.

Also move them to the new Default folder.

      Hello.

Unable to modify the "default" directory! (Access denied!).

Did you close Google Chrome properly?

Are you the administrator of the PC?

    Well, yes!
I am the owner, the user, and therefore the "administrator"!
And Google is not open - Therefore it is closed!

    right-click on your Windows taskbar

    open the Task Manager

    tab Processes

    if you see any Chrome.exe

    stop them and try again.

I indeed had "chrome.exe" in Processes.
    I "terminated" it.

When I reopen Google Chrome = There is still a small icon with an exclamation mark at the top right.
When I click on it = it indicates that I need to "resynchronize and reconnect!"

What I do > my login email appears, and I have to - again - enter my password > then, Google Chrome is OK.

But when I close it and restart later = same issue!
    It's weird!

    Hello,

    download and run this utility:

    http://general-changelog-team.fr/fr/downloads/viewdownload/20-outils-de-xplode/2-adwcleaner
    (green arrow on the right)

perform a scan and delete everything it may find.
please copy and paste the report after deletion in your reply.

Check if you still have the problem

    Best regards

Isn't it the same thing as "Ccleaner"? That I have installed!
Because I already scanned with Ccleaner.

No, but you didn't understand what I told you to do ^^

You close Chrome, you stop the processes if they are present, and you do the manipulation I gave you here

    ==> https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-27845494-oblige-de-reinitialiser-a-chaque-ouverture-de-chrome#3

If I misunderstood and you've actually done that, and you're still having the problem, then look here:

I'm sorry, but I followed your instructions:
      right-click on your Windows taskbar

"open Task Manager = that's what I did!
Processes tab = OK - saw
if you see any Chrome.exe = Ok - I saw
stop them and continue the process. " That's what I did!

I'm going to reinstall Chrome - instead of messing around.
      Thank you for your attention.
