New tab opens with each link click

Hi everyone!
First of all, I’m not sure if this is the right forum to present my problem.
So here’s my issue: since last night, almost every time I click, a new tab opens with "web page inaccessible" on Google Chrome and the URLs of these tabs don’t correspond to the site I wanted to visit. Sometimes I’m prompted to perform a scan and it claims that it would help fix the errors, but I don’t really trust it.
I also want to mention that I don’t have this problem in private browsing.
So, if anyone has a solution and would be willing to help me, I would really appreciate it.
