Hello,
I installed "Windows Vista Home Basic" and I downloaded "Libre Office". But, when I tried to install it, I received the following message: And then, here it is: "Cannot open the installation package. Verify with your application vendor that this Windows Installer package is valid".
Could anyone tell me how to go about installing and running it?

Windows installer 3.1 here
Windows installer 4.5 here
Download one of the two and then install it by following the guide
Then Open Office, the first green button is for Windows
Just install it, or if the download is already on this site you just need to reinstall it.
