Unable to find a valid DVD drive [-70012]

Hello,

I have a problem with the DVD player on my eMac; it doesn't want to read DVDs, and as soon as I launch the DVD player, it shows me the following error: unable to find a valid DVD drive [-70012]. What is the problem? Please help me!!!???

    I told you on this post your eMac is almost museum-worthy.
    If your CD/DVD drive is dead, you won't find any more that meet the standards, except used ones but in the same condition!

      Hello, I replaced the internal drive of my 2012 17' MacBook Pro with a hard drive, and the DVD drive shows "unable to find a valid DVD drive (-70012)" when I try to read a copied DVD folder from my hard drive (these are my movies that I prepare before burning). Therefore, I can't check my folder before burning without an external burner, which is quite annoying. Does anyone have a solution? (OS: Mavericks)
