Hello,
I’m reaching out again because you have always helped me solve some of my problems. Here it is: I have an EPSON Stylus C42UX since 2003 and I don’t use it much. It was working fine until the day it stopped; both indicators are flashing, it gets stuck. I tried to solve the problem by installing SSC Service Utility which was really helpful. I reset the counter to zero and it worked. In wanting to explore this software and take advantage of its benefits, I ended up blocking my printer and now I can’t find a way out.
Now both indicators light up at the same time, the black ink cartridge is indicated as empty even though it’s brand new, and the color cartridge is not recognized by the printer.
I right-clicked on the SSC Service Utility icon to check the status of my printer: it indicates current value: 0
maximum: 8300
From this, I understand that the printer has been reset to zero, but it doesn’t work
show main window--->ink monitor: indicates zero level for color ink when I just installed it.
I uninstalled the printer driver and the software, then reinstalled them in order but it didn’t change anything; the software displays the same ink levels. What should I do???? Please help me
Configuration: Windows XP / Chrome 25.0.1364.172

Hello,
I had bought cheaper so-called "recycled" cartridges where the EPSON product and my printer were listed, and I could no longer print.
For those who have Windows 7 64, the Ssc Service Utility software does not work.
Here’s how I managed to get out of this deadlock. I uninstalled the EPSON software and everything that came with it using CCleaner. I (luckily) found my EPSON installation disk that was sold with my SX235W printer in 2012. When reinstalling with the disk, I did not allow it to connect to the internet, let alone the EPSON website. This had the direct effect of being able to read my color cartridges.
There you go. Maybe it’s just a small victory. In the meantime, as I work from home with a small salary, having access to my printer is essential and at lower costs than those charged by EPSON.
Best to all of you and to the helping hands that have often assisted me in getting out of trouble.

Hello; I still haven't found a solution to my problem, the two lights on my Epson printer are both on, the printer does not recognize the color cartridge.
I have reinstalled the SSC Service Utility but I don't know how to use it; maybe I made a mistake when using it before that caused this problem.
Best regards
