Hello,
Following a power outage, I'm facing a big problem with Photoshop CS6:
When I try to open the software, two error messages appear in succession:
“Unable to load scripts due to an unexpected end of file”
then
“Unable to initialize Photoshop because the file was damaged by a disk error”
I can no longer open the software or open a .PSD file... My other Adobe software like Illustrator is not experiencing this type of issue.
I have already tried various solutions after more than 3 hours of searching and futile attempts such as uninstalling / reinstalling the software, disk cleanup, disk defragmentation, and system restore...
No external devices are connected to my PC (I saw that this could be the cause).
Do you have a solution, please? I heavily rely on this software for my professional work.
Thank you in advance for your responses
Best regards
Configuration: Windows 8 / Chrome 25.0.1364.152

Solution found!!!
For anyone encountering the same problem, here is the solution:
You just need to locate the Photoshop user folder containing the file Préfs Adobe Photoshop CS.psp. Completely delete this Photoshop folder (don’t be afraid! Go ahead!)
Then uninstall Photoshop
Restart your computer
Reinstall Photoshop normally
Restart your PC again to fully complete the installation
Launch Photoshop: Normally, the software should start without those pesky messages appearing.
For those who want to understand what happened instead of just settling for the solution: due to the power outage, the Photoshop preference files (which are located in my user profile) were corrupted. Uninstalling Photoshop is not enough to remove these files. You have to do it manually! All that’s left is to perform the classic uninstall - reinstall maneuver for the problem to be gone for good!
Thank you anyway! Hoping I could help unfortunate people who might encounter the same problem.

press: Cmd + Alt + Shift (in that order) on Mac (and Ctrl + Alt + Shift on PC)
when launching Photoshop.
It does the same thing without the wasted time.
