Hello,

I cannot open (except with Preview) some JPG photos in Photoshop: the message I receive is as follows: "the task cannot be completed because a SOF marker or DQT or DHT is missing before the JPEG SOS marker."

What should I do?
Thank you in advance.

Hello,
I don't have Photoshop, so I don't know if the following solution will solve your issue or not. I'll rely on you to let me know.

Or:
1. Right-click on the photo and open it with Paint
2. In Paint, save the image as a JPG under a different name.
3. Try to open this new file with Photoshop

Thank you Ritchi! I'm trying a lot of solutions and haven't found the right one yet. First, when I right-click on the photo, a menu appears, but without PAINT. I've watched the recommended YouTube videos and other ones that popped up, and I’m trying their solutions, but they rarely work on my computer.... I'm currently doing the following manipulation, which doesn't always work, but sometimes it does: right-click -> open with -> other -> photos. This imports the photo into PHOTOS, then I drag it into Photoshop: and sometimes it works. However, I can no longer remove the photo from my photo library without resetting the app! A bit complicated, isn't it... I will keep searching for the best way and will keep you updated when I find it. In the meantime, a big thank you for your help and suggestions!
