A blue circle appears all the time. Solved

Question

Hello,
When I try to open a document, a blue circle starts spinning and it lasts quite a while, or nothing happens at all, so I can’t open the document.
The same thing happens when opening a folder; the computer freezes.
Skype disappears when I try to open it.
Internet also takes a long time to open.
Do you think I have a virus? Yet my antivirus and Malwarebytes anti-malware found nothing.
Every day it gets worse. Could someone please help me?

I was thinking of starting with the F8 key as I've read before, but after that, I don't know what to do.

It may be a problem with software running in the background that is hogging a lot of power on your PC! Check the number of processes that are running.
A bit of cleaning on your PC might be effective for this kind of problem. We'll see...

Bonsoir, Malwere Anti Malweres Bytes is by no means an antivirus as its name suggests; it is only an anti-malware. Therefore, you should run a ZHPDIAG diagnostic, please :)

@ stan cool: It is not possible to take a screenshot for this problem because when the blue circle goes away, the computer is back to normal.
The blue circle prevents any manipulation.

Based on the elements you described and since you can accurately date the start of your problems, try a "System Restore to an earlier date." As its name indicates, this form of restoration puts your system back to the state it was in before that date, when your PC was functioning correctly. Your personal data: folders, photos, music,... are not at risk (even those saved between the two dates). Simply, if an update occurred between the two dates, you will have to redo it.

To perform a system restore to an earlier date:

* Once on the desktop, do: Start / Programs / Accessories / System Tools / System Restore / Restore my PC to an earlier date.
* Choose a date prior to the start of the problems,
then click "Next" / "Next" / "Finish."
* Do not touch anything. The PC will turn off and restart by itself; the restoration continues on startup. A message will inform you at the end of the restoration if it was successful or not.
* If it was successful, check that the PC has returned to its normal behavior.
* If it was not successful, try with another date prior to the problem.

Come back and let us know what the outcome is. It won't be over yet.

It's a great idea, except that I can't restore my computer for the good reason that I restored it very recently because when I downloaded LIBRE OFFICE, I had problems. Nothing worked anymore.

Otherwise, do you think I have a virus?

And if I start the PC with the F8 key? Isn't there a way for the PC to fix itself? Because if I don't have a virus, then something must have gone off track, and maybe it can fix itself?

Can you restore by selecting a date, 10 or 15 days, or even more, back?

- For the installation location, choose: Desktop
- Follow the installation instructions,
check "Add an icon to the desktop" and uncheck the box "Run ZHPDiag"

- On Windows XP, launch ZHPDiag by double-clicking on the parchment-shaped icon, with administrator rights on the PC.

- Let the examination run. A message will notify you when it's finished.
- Save the report on your Desktop using the floppy disk icon.

I fell asleep at the computer. I just looked at your ZHPDiag report, no infection, just 2 or 3 small things to correct. I'll make a small correction for you tomorrow because I'm exhausted. I think it's more about system instability. I saw that you reinstalled Open Office on February 16 and that you indicated the same day that everything was fine. Can't you restore to that date? In any case, as mentioned earlier, "system restore to an earlier date" only affects the system and not the software.

Otherwise, you can try this other method. Print it out.
- Turn off the PC normally, then turn it back on.
- As soon as the BIOS starts up and before the Windows logo appears, tap the F8 key (first row at the top of the keyboard).
[Note: If the Windows logo appears, it's too late. Start over, that is: turn off the PC, turn it back on, etc.]
- Tap F8 until the black window of "advanced boot options" appears.
- Once there, using the arrow keys on the bottom right of the keyboard, select: "last known good configuration," then let the PC do its thing.
If all goes well, it should restart with the last stable configuration.

Additionally, relaunch ADWCleaner and choose "Delete" mode.
Post the report in your response.

I am sincerely very grateful for the help you have tried to provide me, but this morning it was impossible to start my computer which got stuck and I received a message that appeared: "Windows Explorer is not responding." Hello Comprendsrien@,  Did you do what I advised you here: https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-27226985-un-rond-bleu-apparait-tout-le-temps#26  The "last known good configuration" option allows you to restore the PC to a stable configuration. Moreover, you ran ADWCleaner in "scan" mode only. It found 3 keys. Did you restart ADWCleaner in "Removal" mode as I mentioned in that same post? Otherwise, you will keep those three harmful keys.
