Canon MF 3010 Printer Driver Installation Solved

Hello,

I have a Windows 7 64-bit and I would like to install a Canon MF 3010 printer. For that, I downloaded the printer driver from the internet from this site http://www.ami-info.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=382:telechargements-de-pilotes-et-logiciels-&catid=96:imprimant-canon&Itemid=125, but I'm stuck at this step. Can you tell me exactly what I need to do?!

from the USB port and plug it back when the PC asks you to during the installation

Yes, absolutely!!

The first time, I just ran it, the download finished without asking me anything, and now I'm doing it again by saving and running!! I'll see what happens even though I doubt that's the problem :s

1) If you have already installed anything related to the driver, uninstall it (everything  related to the Canon printer) via Programs and Features in the Control Panel  2) Download the driver (to your desktop)  3) Right-click on the driver and run it as administrator (right-click)  4) Connect the printer when the PC asks  Good luck  See you later

I did exactly what you told me.
When I reached the 3rd point, when I right-click on my driver and run it, it shows me a message saying: the file already exists, overwrite files?
Even though I just changed PC and downloaded it for the first time!!

And before, which PC did you download from?

Are you sure you didn't install anything before?

that the file is present on the PC and the software wants to overwrite it....

so there is indeed something installed

I think the best thing is for you to start from scratch by uninstalling everything related to your printer

look in programs and features for anything with the name canon

and uninstall everything

then run ccleaner "cleaner + registry, then you will reinstall the driver
