Having had the same issue but being tech-savvy, I'm leaving a message for those who might stumble upon this (for Windows all versions it seems).
Step 1 - Retrieving the driver:
Here, I have shared the printer driver (Canon MG3150):

For those not used to Google Drive, on the indicated page, go to file (top left) -> Download. You will then have a file Driver MG3150.zip to unzip (in the same directory preferably).

Step 2 - Installing the driver
On Windows -> go to the control panel -> System -> Advanced system settings (on the left) -> "Hardware" tab -> Device Manager
Well, now you should have the Device Manager window open. If your printer is recognized and started, you should then have under "Other devices" the name "WSD Printing" with an exclamation mark in front. Right-click on it -> update driver -> Browse my computer for driver software -> and indicate the directory where you saved the driver.
