Issue with Cyberlink Powerdirector 10

Hello,
Each time I return from a trip, I edit a film using Cyberlink Powerdirector 10. For the first time, I’m encountering a problem that's preventing me from moving forward: Above my timeline where the clips are located, green markers have appeared, and at those points, playback of a clip or the movie is choppy, making it impossible to have a smooth and continuous playback. As soon as I click on a clip, a green marker appears. At the same time, a "loading" line, in percentage, appears on the right... I've never had these markers before, how can I get rid of them????
Thank you for your responses and Happy New Year 2013 to everyone.

Hello, Same problem after changing PC. I found the solution, indeed a driver compatibility issue: for version 11, download the patch "Updates PowerDirector 11 to build 3625" on the Cyberlink website at the following address:
http://fr.cyberlink.com/support/powerdirector-ultra/patches_fr_FR.html
It works perfectly!

The problem is related to the graphics card driver.

Hello,
I'm bumping this topic, I have exactly the same problem and I'm really surprised that no one can provide a rational explanation.
Regarding my specific case, I was on Windows 8 and my Powerdirector 10 software was working perfectly. Yesterday, I updated to 8.1, and BAM, I got this loading bar on the right side of the screen which not only crashed the software but also prevented me from doing anything with it.
I'm lost, I checked in "Preferences" and there is nothing related to that.
Could someone please help me?
Thanks in advance.

Hello, I no longer have Cyberlink, but your issue may stem from the "real-time rendering" which depends on your computer's power. You can choose, I don't know, where "project config preferences" or something like that. The other option is "background rendering calculation".

Please remember to mark it as "resolved" if that's the case.

Hi, I confirm that it's coming from the graphics card drivers: I'm on Windows 7, 64-bit, and I had an ATI Radeon HD 5770 card, and for 3 years I used PowerDirector 10 without any issues. I switched to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4 GB, and I can play videos in PowerDirector, but not in the timeline, every few seconds the green loading bar appears on the right and says: Processing.... Anyway, for my part, even though I believe everything is up to date on my PC, I'm going to try to download everything that's offered for this product at NVIDIA... if I find a solution, I'll let you know!

Hello,

Argh, I just posted a topic with the same issue...
Glandu's solution gave me a real false hope!
I went to the preferences, I looked absolutely everywhere, I have no "background rendering calculation" option, or anything like that...

What should I do?
I'm using version 9.0... can someone guide me? This little "processing" bar is really annoying!

I would really appreciate it if someone could provide the answer to this problem. Thank you!
