Ciel accounting - configuration issue with the IM.

Hello,

I have a problem with the printing settings in Ciel accounting regarding the document presentation. I tried to solve it, but I'm not able to. Could someone please help me and indicate the procedure to follow to configure it?

I want to remove the background color of the frames when printing (having colors on the screen doesn't bother me), but for printing (for the Grand Livre which is over 100 pages to print each time), this type of presentation uses a lot of ink (each account, sub-account, account class, etc. are framed with a yellow background). A black and white print without background color is sufficient for me.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards,
Margaud

Hello,

I don't have the software in front of me, so I can't detail the procedure.

To do this, you need to open your print template. You should be able to do this from "file -> open" or from the configurable reports. Once opened, you can modify the layout of your printed file (logo, color...).

To find the print templates, it depends on whether you are working in a client-server or standalone mode. If the software is directly on your workstation, they should be in C: (either in "document and settings -> user application data" or in "program files -> ciel"). If you are working in client-server mode, they will be on the server, in the same place as the shared database.

Finally, to make it simpler, you should be able to change the settings of your default printer to request a black and white (or grayscale) print when you print your general ledger.

Have a good day,
Cynthia.

Hello CCottere,

Thank you very much for this precise information and for helping me solve this issue.

The catch is that every time I print, I will have to remember to request the print in gray - black (since it cannot be set as "default"). But well, the main thing is that I got the solution to remedy it.

PS: I have Ciel accounting on a single-user setup. I tried to follow your instructions for the print models on "C:" then Ciel but without success.

Thank you again for your help.
Best regards,
Margaud

PS: Without overstepping your expertise and assistance, may I please ask you a new question? When I consult the balance-sheet income statement, our turnover appears in sales France whereas we are 100% export, so the turnover should appear in exports. How can I set it up so that the correct line(s) for the CA3 and the balance-sheet income statement are properly filled in? Thank you in advance.

Margaud,

I am not a specialist in Ciel Compta, I work with commercial management for some of my clients and personally, I use Ciel Professional Independent.

I would say that overall, this setup should be done when creating the file when you define all the options for your database. You should be able to find this information (and modify it) in File -> Options or folder settings. I'm sorry, I can't help you any further...

Good luck!
Cynthia.
