Hello,
I'm looking for help to transfer my Secam VHS tapes to computer or DVD.
I bought a video capture device EASYCAP, and there is no problem with PAL VHS tapes; everything is in color. However, as soon as I copy a Secam VHS tape, I receive the images in black and white on my computer.
Can anyone help me?
Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 23.0.1271.64

ATTENTION TO DOUBLE
Analog Video Transfer Box
Hello, to transfer the content of an analog VHS, VHS/C, 8mm, Hi8 tape, or an analog video stream, you need to connect the camcorder or the VCR or another device to an "external box" that handles the conversion "hardware of the analog stream to digital" and you connect the box to the computer via a USB cable. The file is converted to MPEG2, a format easy to burn and compatible with all players, and allows for editing with "Studio"
You connect the box and camcorder with a recommended S-VHS connection or composite (less good) (RCA yellow) and a cord for sound (2 RCA red, white). For the VCR, a SCART connection with an adapter or cable with the "out" direction, or with an S-VHS or composite RCA yellow (less good) output switch (in out), plus sound, two RCA red and white outputs is required.
Remember to select PAL for color
I recommend the Dazzle box, either "Recorder" DVD only or Platinum, depending on your needs
The price of the STUDIO 14 HD software (€61) provided with the latter makes the product attractive
There are exotic products like USB keys and 4 wires, cheaper but be cautious; they often lead to headaches, as seen in messages from desperate forum members
The format being 4/3, the image quality can only be judged on the TV screen once the film is burned
Remember to mark "resolved" if that is the case.

The question was how to transfer from SECAM and you reply to configure in PAL.
