Hello,
I have a Panasonic NV-VZ9 camcorder that I got not long ago, but I don’t have any tapes to make videos, so I wanted to find out what kinds of tapes I need for my camcorder, and also if it is possible to connect it to the computer with a IEEE 1394 cable to then work on the videos.

if the reference is exact "nv vz9" without interest, I advise against it
I'll explain, it's a scope in vhsc format and moreover you don't have the "iee" input
there are only two rca (1 video and 1 audio)
    there you go
it goes without saying that a typing error in the reference changes the model
nvgz and nvvz are two very different references

      Well, I do have a new vz9.
So since there is no "iee" port, I can't connect it to the computer at all (too bad...).
After that, it's the first camcorder I've ever had, and I don't know what it's worth (brand new, I haven't looked into it yet).
Thank you, Pascal, for your opinion, it was really helpful!

the vhsc has been discontinued for several years, so it's an opportunity
to connect it to your computer, you need a capture
of the RCA A/V from your scope via USB to your computer

Exactly! I have this type of camera, the Panasonic NV-VZ9; you need 30, 45, 60, or 90-minute VHS tapes. To transfer them to your computer, you need a capture device compatible with your operating system (XP, Windows 7, or Windows 8).
