Hello,
I recently have problems when starting my projector. On the first start, it turns off after 5 minutes, then I have to cut off the power with the switch on the back, then I turn it back on, the green light flashes and thus the projector does not turn on, and I start the process again, I turn it off with the switch on the back, and turn it back on and it finally works. I have to do this procedure every time I start it, and I would like to know if someone can help me.
Thank you in advance

I had exactly the same problem; it was under warranty, so they replaced the iris. I got it back after 3 weeks of repair, and the surprise was that it worked for three hours and then the same issue happened...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just sent it back again, and I'm waiting.
With 60 euros in shipping each time, it's such a pain. Can you tell me if your problem was resolved?

I'm sorry Momo, but the Ptaxe is actually a good product ... especially after my mishap (see post above), I was quite worried. In fact, for those who have the issue described earlier, it’s enough to contact Panasonic directly, reach the service responsible for projectors, and explain the problem. It's a manufacturing issue, so even if your video is no longer under warranty (that was my case), they send a carrier to your home and return the repaired product with a report of the repairs. In my case, the immobilization duration was 5 days. I was amazed because the shipment goes to Scotland!!!
Conclusion: 46 months later my video works perfectly and it didn’t cost me a dime ... whereas I was ready to spend undefined amounts with pseudo-repairers with no guarantee.

Denis, yes I had the same problem. Do you smoke? The Panasonic functions have a part in the projector that needs to be replaced. If it's the same issue as mine, it costs about 500 euros for the part. There you go for the part.
I have exactly the same problem with mine. I had to restart 3 or 4 times at the beginning, but then it worked normally. I was about to buy a new lamp, but I came across some forums and this video, and I'm going to try to implement the method.

Finally, I did the operation and it works!
Two points to clarify though:
1) At first, I used a silicone-based lubricant, it worked well at the moment but the next day, once I had everything reassembled on the wall-mounted foot, it was back to square one with the same malfunction. I had to take everything apart again and open it up to discover that the lubricant had reacted badly and had gummed up the mechanism. It was worse than before!
2) I removed all the silicone-based lubricant, cleaned it well, and then applied a regular lubricant.
And there, the little pivoting mechanism returned to place very quickly and very smoothly. So I think that's the solution.
Since then, I've watched 3 or 4 movies and no issues.
Good luck to you.
PS: It is still unacceptable that such an expensive device no longer works just because of a problem with a lubricant that ages poorly...

Hello!
So I just used these two products: the "contact cleaner" has become "Nettoyant contact," for example from the brand 3 in One, available at places like Castorama; the dry glide has become "lubrifiant sec au PTFE" from the same brand.
I ended up spraying a little bit into the mechanism with the fine nozzle that comes with the can. I feel like it was mainly the lubricant that worked.
My shutter used to get back in place in > 2 seconds before lubrication!!
Good luck to everyone, I'm crossing my fingers that it lasts!!

I had a problem that was somewhat similar with a ptax200e, the device shutting down almost immediately, and although the shutter seemed to operate correctly, I applied WD40 to the axle and miracle! It started working again!
Exactly the same problem as you on the same model ('PTAX 100E) except that at first I did the manipulation 2 to 3 times.... then 10 times and finally no more possibilities!!!
I first thought it was the lamp, I just changed it after only 950 hours of use (sold for 2000 hours!!)... Ouch 450€ for the lamp.... but no change.... I'm desperate!!!!
Have you found a solution???? (I've heard about iris?????!!!!)

THANK YOUUUUUUUUU
it worked for me!!!!!!!
thankfully there are forums and people like you to share;
mine was shutting down after 2 minutes
my 3 children are happy, just like the parents who couldn't afford to fix it and even less to buy another one.
