HI, I also have a 1st gen iPod Shuffle; a piece of advice: NEVER FORMAT YOUR IPOD. It's such a hassle to find a quick and easy-to-use software to restore your iPod Shuffle on 64-bit Windows. This software is called NTFS-DiskInternals-Recovery, here’s a link useful for everyone. CHEERS!!!!!!!!

    Download and install iTunes 64 Bits, and with that, you can easily restore your iPod without any issues.

      HI, people who have had the same problem as me will know what I'm talking about, even iTunes 10.7 didn't care about my iPod. I've been to several forums like this one and there's nothing helpful. When I say it's a hassle, no, it's a NIGHTMARE, yeah.
