Mail signature appears as an attachment :(

Hello,

When you create a signature with an image, Mail must do both. That is to say, place this image at the end of the text in your message, and as an attachment that your recipients can download. So the attachment is normal. However, you should also see this image appear at the end of your message. Is that not the case?

So it depends on how their messaging software is set up.
Or is this signature a large or heavy image?

I've never had an issue on my side. My signature, also in .jpg, is 150 x 100 pixels and weighs 45 kb.

It’s possible that after a certain weight or size, there might be this kind of issue..

Try this:

Open "Mail" and click on the menu of the same name, then on "Preferences" and then on "Signatures"

And, at the bottom of this window that opened, click on the plus sign ("add a signature") and in the right box enter the text you want to use as your signature.

Then, click on the icon of your address that you used to set up Mail (in the left column, it should be below the one for "all signatures") and then, at the bottom, in the "choose signature" field, drop down and select "Randomly" and, after checking the box "place the signature above the quoted text," finally close the window.

To check that it works, with Mail open, click on "compose a new message." You should see the text you entered for the signature.
