Hello,

I made music with Audacity and I would like to convert it to mp3 format. To do this, I downloaded Format Factory to help, but I'm having trouble. Could you please help me??
Thank you in advance.

    Good evening,

If it's a relatively old version of Audacity, you need to download the Lame codec; I believe that in the newer versions (not sure), it is integrated. You need to place it in a folder and indicate to Audacity where it is located, otherwise it is impossible to export MP3s. https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/audio-musique/13535-lame-mp3-for-audacity/
Using FormatFactory when Audacity can do it by itself is a bit regrettable, and there will definitely be a loss of quality when converting from Wav to MP3 via FormatFactory...

    Hello.

To create an MP3 file in "Audacity",
do: "File > Export as MP3".

When you try to convert, what happens exactly?
To convert with FormatF, you right-click on the file, then send to --> FormatF. A window will then appear, and there you click "convert from all types to MP3."

Normal, in Audacity menu you have (Save As) to save your project music as an Audacity file. Do not use it as there is no choice, it's no Audacity project

whereas you need to choose the (Export) menu to save your mp3 as .mp3 and select mp3 from the dropdown list. If mp3 is not in the list, you need to load the mp3 codec as mentioned above by Luke 1
Format Factory cannot convert a project.
