Unable to set up my EPSON printer via Wifi Solved

Hello,

I need your help to set up my EPSON XP-405 printer via Wi-Fi, to connect my computer to the printer wirelessly. I plan to use it all the time over Wi-Fi, so I didn't buy a cable.

I've been trying all day by every possible means and I can't get it to work...

I am a student living in a university residence, so I have my internet connection through Wifirst and I don't have a box, so I can't use the technique of pressing the box's button, if you know what I mean.

My computer is connected to my residence's network, and the printer is too (it shows 3 bars), yet I can't seem to connect them...

I don't know much about this, how can I get out of this mess?

If anyone is still interested, you need to  go to Network and Sharing Center,  then choose Sharing Options,  modify Advanced Sharing Settings,  set "turn on network discovery" to "public",  go to "network" in Explorer  and finally click on your printer and click "install"

The radio connection definitely goes through the box since it's about sharing this printer with other users or PCs.

At my place (Livebox) nothing works without the WPA key and the pairing button for security reasons.

The easiest way is the USB connection.

Hello, I just installed my XP 405. You need to plug it in, install the cartridges, turn it on, follow the instructions that appear on the printer's screen, and then enter your server code (Telenet, ...), and it works. Best regards.

I have a new Epson RX-215 printer. Wifi connection, but no control panel.

How can I connect it via wifi to my freebox? There is automatic wifi detection on the printer, but how do I "tell" it which network to choose, and especially, the password to access my free wifi?

I connected it via USB to my PC, but I can't find a menu to configure the printer's wifi.

you just need to keep the USB cable plugged in during the installation because when the internet is cut off during one of the phases of the installation, the cable takes over (obviously the cable is not provided!) Hi, it will be fine for the wifi now!

To connect the Xp-405 printer to an iOS device, you must first connect it to your router, then go to the printer's Wi-Fi connections, select the configuration assistant, choose your router, and confirm the WEP. You will finally find your printer on your iOS device.
