Hello,
For the record, I'll keep it brief; Today, I wanted to change my resolution, and unfortunately, I set a resolution (around 2000 ...) much higher than what is intended for my screen (1680x1050). So, once I clicked accept, my screen turned black and remains stuck on [Input Signal Out of Range - Please switch to the 1680x1050 - 60Hz resolution]. Of course, I restarted the PC, and since the problem persisted as soon as I entered Windows, I booted it in safe mode. In this mode, everything works normally, but my resolution is indeed lower than 1680x1050, at 1600x1024. In safe mode, I can't set my exact resolution; is that normal?
Then, I lowered it to the minimum, restarted it, thinking that the resolution would be saved. Well, no! The problem persists. So I'm turning to you, asking for a little advice.
My graphics card: Nvidia 9800 GTX
My processor: Intel Pentium inside
My OS: Windows 7 (I think it’s a standard version)
My RAM: 4GB
Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 22.0.1229.79

Well, I almost fried my video card, but it works anyway. My sagouin technique:
1. Turn on the PC in normal mode
2. Unplug the video cable from the screen and leave it unplugged until you hear the sound of the session choice arriving.
3. Plug the cable back in and quickly change the resolution on your desktop (right-click => Screen resolution => Select the resolution from the dropdown menu
4. There you go, the resolution is back to its proper state of health and everything works wonderfully!
Thanks again to Vieu bison boiteu for the help ;)
