Photoshop lasso tool issue

Hello,

In Photoshop, when I close my selection with the polygonal lasso, the selection is immediately altered: rounded corners, less straight edges, etc...
What can I do to keep my selection exactly as I drew it with the lasso?
(I can't understand what I might have changed for it to start doing this.)

P.S.: I'm using CS3 on a Mac.

    Did no one respond to you? Curious... Try setting the gradient contour in the parameter bar to zero. That should do it.

    All the parameters for "improve the contour" are set to 0...

    It's not there you need to look, it's in the properties of your tool, that is to say just below your dropdown menu.

    P.S.: It's not the configuration menu for the lasso, rectangular selection, etc...
