Photoshop issue with setting a selection

Hello, I have a problem (like everyone else) I want to define a selection from a path. So when I make one path it works, but when I make two paths in the same path layer Photoshop won’t define a selection, whereas it worked before. If you could help me 
Configuration: Windows XP google chrome

    Well, since I can't delete this message, I'm just letting you know that I found the solution. It's just that my Plume tool was in intersection mode, and since my shapes weren't overlapping, I didn't understand.
