Sound in optics on Sharp LCD screen

Hello,
I would like to send the sound from my Sharp Aquos screen (60 LE 740 E) to my LG Home Cinema (LH-RH761)
the screen does have an optical output and the HC has an optical input, the only problem is the setup... I've been struggling for over 5 hours....
the HC is connected via HDMI to the screen and when I play a movie from the HC it comes through in 5.1 but if I launch a DivX from the screen it goes to the screen's speakers.... the same goes for my PS3 connected via HDMI to the screen. I would like to send the screen's sound in general to my HC....

we suppose that the connections are ok
in this case on your remote control you should have at the top right "radio input" you click on it then validate "optical"
there you go
otherwise in the middle of the remote control you have a button "optical" you just need to press it

So for the connections, it's a male-to-male Toslink in both Optical ports (out on the screen and in on the HC)... I think I've found it for the HC, but I still have no sound output from the TV... Logically, if the sound comes out elsewhere than through its speakers, they shouldn't work???
Additionally, I wanted to try a workaround... I have no sound coming from the headphone jack (I've also searched through the whole menu and the manual... found nothing...)
