LG TV without RCA audio output Solved

Question

Hello,

My problem: I have an LG 32 LV 4500 LED LCD TV, but there's no RCA audio output (white - red). I want to connect my wireless headphones to this TV (not through the headphone jack as that would cut the sound for my wife).
How can I do this? I have an optical audio output and a SCART input for TV channels; I connect my headphones via RCA to my Orange decoder and that works, but the problem arises when I watch a movie via the USB port of my TV and, of course, I hear the sound of the movie coming through the TV.

Warning, on some TVs this system doesn't work... you have to try to see if it works (given the price, the risk is limited)
be sure to select the output signal direction with the switch (try both positions)

Hello. The SPDIF to RCA optical adapter is a good solution as long as the analog output sound level is comfortable, which is far from being certain.
Another solution is to buy a headset with an optical input. I personally have a Philips SBC HD1500 headset which unfortunately is no longer available, but you can still find the Sony MDR DS6500 or the Sennheiser RS 220 if you can track one down. Perhaps by searching thoroughly, but in France we only have a very limited choice.

Hello, faced with the absence of audio output, the SCART/RCA socket was not working; the solution is an optical audio adapter "digital to analog" see Amazon and others don't forget the optical connection cable (often shown in the picture of the converter, but not included): cost about €15.
