Hello,
I have been frustrated for some time now because I can't read certain DVDs on my SAMSUNG HT-X20 DVD player!! Indeed, I can play some DVDs but not others, and I don’t know why. I just bought the movie "Sur la piste du Marsupilami" and I can't watch it!! I can't tell you how frustrated the kids are.
I went on a forum, thinking I could solve the problem, but nothing worked.
Have you ever had this problem, and how did you fix it?
Thank you for responding urgently.
Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello,
Have you resolved your issue?
I have the same problem with my HT-X20, I randomly get "NO FILE", "NO DISC", or the device opens (DVD eject).
This happens with many DVDs, the latest being Ice Age 4. It's a dual layer, I wonder if that's a possible cause of the problem?
Ice Age 3 in dual layer also worked before, after several attempts sometimes it works ...
I tried region unlocking (84269 ..) but with no effect (the device doesn't turn off).
I haven't attempted cleaning the lens ...
If anyone has a lead, I'm all ears!
Thank you and ... Merry Christmas! :-)

Hello,
For my part, I solved the problem by cleaning the lens of my DVD player.
Not with a cleaning CD, but by opening the cover of the player and using a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol on the lens.
Since then, everything's been great, my dual-layer DVDs play without issue!
This player can read dual-layer DVDs, but it seems that it's more difficult to read between the lines with foggy glasses! :-)
There you go, I hope this can help someone...
