Play DVDs with PS3

Hello,

I have the same problem. I recently bought a PS3 that can't read DVDs, I don't know why. Can someone help me, tell me if it's an option or a setting that needs to be adjusted?

    Hi,

    I found the solution thanks to a forum in English,
    ;)

    The solution is recent (from March last year) (see: https://www.playstation.com/fr-fr/support/#!/#M85721)

    So I went to "display settings" > "video output settings"

    In "Select TV connector type" choose: "HDMI"
    In "Select a setup method" choose: "Custom"
    In "Select all resolutions supported by the TV"
    => Uncheck "1080p" and check everything else

    That's worked for me and I think (I'm sure) it will work for everyone.
