Convert M2TS/M2TS.IDX file to MP4

Hi,
I’m taking advantage of your topic to try to solve a problem.
My Freebox gives me, like the others, an MT2S file and an MT2S.idx file.
The first is the video with one or more audio tracks, the second contains the subtitles.
My problem is that I can’t open this idx file anywhere other than on the Freebox (it can’t be opened in VLC). However, I would like to embed them in my video, either before or after converting it to AVI.
Can someone help me and suggest a software?

Otherwise, I believe FormatFactory exists on MAC.

I'm on a MAC, and it seems that Free Video Converter is not available for Mac ...

If I'm wrong, please show me a download link :D.

I have transferred the file with the .M2TS extension to the Free Video Converter software that you gave me, I see a circle spinning as if it were loading.

Does it automatically convert to MP4? Should I wait after the loading, what should I do?

For now, it's still loading; it's a 8 GB file originally, so it's normal for it to take time...

But for now, it seems to be working.

Thank you for this response.

The first part is good information.
So there is no way to retrieve the subtitle file when converting the video to AVI, for example, if we want to embed it?

As for the second part, I am absolutely certain that no software (VLC, MPC...) can read the subtitles on my end. They seem to be non-existent. We can select the language, but it doesn't see any subtitles available.
It might be a software issue, a Freebox problem, or something else.
The only way to have them is by watching a movie live on VLC, but in direct television mode on the computer (and of course on the Freebox, it works well there).

I found a great conversion software for m1ts files.
It's Aiseesoft MTS CONVERTER.
It's not free, but you can try it out, and then purchase it: that's what I did!!!
And it works!!!!
