Hello,
I have this big problem. I was just minding my own business on the computer when I got a Windows message saying that someone has the same IP address as this computer.
So I have a few questions. First, I want to know if this person does something wrong with their PC, could I get into trouble as well? Also, I want to know what this address is and if it's possible to change it.
Then in the message, it told me that for more information, I should check the Windows log. So where can I find that?
Thanks for everything, sorry if I’m throwing all these questions at you at once :p

Hello
It's not what you think. Windows is warning you that a device or PC on your INTERNAL network has the same IP as your PC.
Either your router is misconfigured, or your PC is not using DHCP (which automatically gives an IP to your PC), or some clever person is trying to connect to your network; these are the three possibilities I see for now.

What is the exact message?
Do you have other devices connected to your box at home? Other PCs?
