How to repair DMI pool data?

Hello, Following my problem with Windows 8, I switched to Ubuntu to see if there was a recovery partition. Unfortunately, I went into Gparted and created a new partition. When I restarted the computer, the BIOS (e machines) page appears and right after, there’s the message Verifying DMI pool data and the computer gets stuck from there. The problem is that I can't access the BIOS since the technician set a password.

Do you think I should tell my dad or find a software solution?

Thank you for responding because right now, I can no longer use my computer.

Thank you and have a nice day.

for those who are stuck on verifying dmi poo data !!!!!!!!!
To resolve this Windows 7 DVD boot issue, select the Windows repair section, select the Command Options, type Bootrec.exe / FIXBOOT and press Enter, close the command prompt and select restart - everything should be fine now PS This also works for Windows Vista PS This works for Windows Vista too

an old post from 2010 so is it seven that you originally had?

No, I can't try because it's Windows 8 Release Preview and I don't have the installation CD, and on top of that, the BIOS is locked by an undecodable password.

Did you buy a PC with 8 on it?
Is it an "emachine"?
Ask the technician to unlock the password.

Remove the BIOS battery to see if the password gets erased.

No, you didn't understand, I bought this computer with Windows Vista Home Basic pre-installed. Then, 10 or 15 days ago, I installed Windows 8. After that, Internet Explorer crashed, so I restarted. I restarted twice, once because there was a blue screen, the second time due to an unwanted icon. Then Windows 8 stopped working; when it started, there was a black screen and CONTROL + ALT + DELETE didn't work anymore. So, I went to Ubuntu and installed GParted. I accidentally replaced the Windows partition with a partition table. And that's when I restarted it and it got stuck at Verifying DMI pool data.

Hello k112,

You will stop creating multiple discussions on the same topic: you will continue on this one and wait patiently for a volunteer to respond.

Additionally, please remember to include politeness in your requests.

Have you made a restoration DVD of Seven?
Otherwise, your only options left are to buy a generic Seven DVD from the brand or go to sites like Le Bon Coin to find someone willing to lend or copy the DVD for you...
No other solutions in your case, no Windows partition and no DVD...

Hello, if you want to launch your recovery partition for Vista from GParted, check the boot option on it.

Windows 8 is not stable yet, so reinstall Vista via a DVD while reformatting the hard drive.
Your machine is apparently not compatible with 8.
