Hello,
Yesterday, a friend gave me his turntable that he wasn't using anymore (JVC L-A10).
However, when I got home, I realized that the belt was broken, so I tried to remove the rotating platter, but it was impossible! After some research, I learned that the platter of this model simply comes off by lifting it!
The problem is that I would really like to change the belt, but for that, I need to remove the platter from the turntable. If someone knows about this, please respond, I really don’t want to buy a new turntable just because of a broken belt!
Thank you in advance.
Antoine

So I had the same problem changing the belt.
WARNING!
On a JVC L-A10 turntable, do not pull the platter!!
-In fact, you need to remove all the screws (the 2 big ones through the platter holes and all those underneath).
-Remove the cover underneath
-and on the central shaft, you will see a tiny screw
-unscrew it (you can remove the 2 screws of the nearby capacitor for better access)
-and then the platter on the other side will come off on its own!
There you go, hope this helps the next ones ;)
