Super, I was just looking for the shortcut keys to adjust my screen. Let me explain, without paying attention I completely lowered my brightness so I couldn't see anything, then I pressed FN + arrow keys. And my screen turned back on! :)

Hello, I believe it’s the manufacturing of the screen that determines this contrast.
So I think there’s nothing you can do except change the screen (you can surely get a better one, but there will always be differences).
My experience in this field isn't very extensive, so these are just leads that you can follow or not.

Hello, for an Acer running Windows, you just need to go to the bottom right on the battery symbol with a plug, click on it, and select another power option. Then a window will appear on the left where you can adjust the screen brightness. Furthermore, you can set the brightness for battery and plugged-in modes independently to avoid this difference; it's up to you to find the right compromise, and you may have to come back to it. You can also choose the power-saving modes, and you'll see your screen will be more or less vivid depending on your choices (this is found in the same window). After that, save your changes. You can also adjust the brightness later by simultaneously pressing the FN key at the bottom left and the right or left arrow keys to decrease or increase it (yes, there’s a sun icon for both keys). Additionally, you can also increase the sound (valid when you're watching a video in fullscreen; otherwise, you scroll the screen) or decrease it by pressing FN (again) and one of the two arrow keys, but the upward arrow to increase the sound, and the downward arrow to decrease it (handy, I just discovered this this afternoon; now I no longer have exhausted eyes).

I have been straining my eyes on a screen that's too dark every time I unplug the power. The FN + Sun key combination doesn’t work, and adjusting the settings in the graphics properties didn’t solve the issue.
So the solution was indeed to change the power options to "high performance." It uses more battery, but at least I can see clearly now!! THANK YOU.

On HP PC.. resolved FN to the left next to CTRL... click more clicks on F10 to increase brightness.

I have an HP Pavilion g7 and it's very simple: just press F2 to decrease and F3 to increase. There are suns on the keys.
