Hello, I would like to get your opinion on an alleged scam from SFR.
I have received several letters from a bailiff's office regarding supposed unpaid phone bills of over €200 dating back to 2003.
However, the letters I receive are not even sent by registered mail. I am being offered appointments, to pay on huissiersplus.com or by check.

The bailiff's office does exist, but given that the letters are not even sent by registered mail and that I canceled my line several years ago, I really wonder if this is all just a hoax.

What do you think I should do?
Thank you in advance.

Hello

This is an amicable debt collection that has nothing to do with you.. Mistake? Identity theft? Nonsense? Who knows..

Responding to this kind of letter indicates that the 'target' is reacting and encourages continued collection efforts. Generally, trying to explain yourself does not resolve anything..

Given the modest amount being claimed, we doubt there is any legal proceeding.. And if there were, it would be an abusive proceeding (= unfounded..) entitling you to damages and interest..

If you have a good mindset and nerves of steel, you can let them yell, thus you won’t waste your time justifying yourself.. Reminder: you risk nothing..

If your teeth are chattering because the calls, letters, and emails are increasing in frequency, you can send a demand to cease harassment immediately.

State that you have nothing to do with this matter and that if someone were to absurdly pursue you in court, not only would that person be dismissed, but you would also request, in addition to costs (Art. L700 Code of Civil Procedure), significant damages and interest under L32-1 of the same Code.

Cool.. Zen..

Talk to you later.

Hello, several months ago I purchased a household appliance at Darty with a Canal Plus offer, and I refused this offer. Then a bailiff sent me a letter stating that I owe an amount of 19 € because I had signed an electronic contract with Canal Plus.
My question is, what should I do? Should I file a complaint for abuse of weakness and fraud?

Re:

1- The electronic signature must meet a stringent procedure.. Do you remember this supposed 'signature'?

2- For such a ridiculous amount, C+ will never go to court!! The bailiff is trying to scare you, but in this case (amicable..) he has no coercive power..

Forget your complaint, it's a waste of time and will lead to nothing!

Let the dear Master rant in vain, he is fiddling with his 'contract' (that you had refused!!)..

See you later.
