My Archos won’t turn on anymore...

Hello, I recently got an Archos 7 Home Tablet (A70BHT) and I've never had any problems with it. However, yesterday while I was listening to music, I put it to sleep, and about 10 minutes later I turned it back on. The music started playing, but the screen didn't respond, so I removed the SD card, which meant no music and still no screen . . .

Since last night, even while charging, it gets stuck on the "Archos Entertainment your way" screen.

I tried connecting it to my computer today and, surprise, for the first time my computer doesn't recognize it . . .

What should I do :( ? Thank you in advance for your responses.

turn it off and on again (remove the battery and put it back in at worst)

      to completely restart your tablet,
you need to press the volume + button and at the same time the power button, release the power button when a green screen appears, let go of everything when a red screen shows up, select "wipe data factory reset" then "reboot system now". there you are with a brand new tablet.

try pressing the small on/off button first.
If that doesn't work, grab a screwdriver and unscrew the battery cover :-)

It's blurry... but when I said to open it, I didn't mean to look at all the circuits inside! ^^

Is there no cover on the back of the case that would hide the battery instead of having to take the whole thing apart?

... You then have a good example of the manufacturer's method to force their customers to go to the repair shop instead of fixing it themselves...

    Is your tablet turned off?

If yes, then turn it back on and see what it tells you.

If no, there are two solutions:

    1) Either you wait for it to discharge by leaving it on all day
    2) Or if you find a rectangular block that looks like a battery in the casing, unplug it and plug it back in 5 to 10 seconds later.
Then turn it back on and see what it tells you

However, I want to emphasize: do not yank your cables inside the tablet!
Take it easy and don't force it... ^^'

The block is stuck to the casing, there's no way to remove it . . .

it's really sh**** manufacturers like that...

Is the tablet off or not? If it's off, turn it back on; otherwise, leave it on the table until the battery runs out.

Uh, I just noticed a detail...
Did you put the SD card back in the tablet?

Hi, I had the same problem, nothing on the screen, impossible to turn it back on or even know if it was on. I almost opened it with a screwdriver and I noticed there was a micro hole with "reset" written in lowercase (almost impossible to see). So I took a needle and there was a miracle, my Archos turned back on and I didn't lose any files!!!! I hope I helped you!
