Hello!
I recently formatted my computer, so I lost Indesign and QuarkXpress, which caused a serious problem for me, especially since I'm working on a document that's about twenty pages long.
I decided to use Adobe Illustrator CS5, everything is going well so far except for one thing: after printing my PDF documents, the result isn't quite up to par. I'm worried about the appearance of "white edges", in other words, white bands of about 4mm on all sides of the page that frame the printed area.
What I want is for none of these "bands" to appear on my printed papers. I'm a bit clueless when it comes to Illustrator, so what do you suggest? Should I make guides? I saw a certain tool called "Artboard" that, when I click on it, frames my page (which is A4 by the way).
Thanks in advance!! It would be cool to get responses within the next 3 hours, hehe, I'm printing around 4 PM xD
Have a good afternoon.

Indeed, the "work plan" markers correspond to the paper format, which means the format of your PDF after "save as..."
If your printer handles borderless printing and does not have any technical margins, that's perfect..
Remember to uncheck (or not activate) "fit to page" when printing from Acrobat.

Hi, thanks for responding!
I disabled the fit to page option, well, I changed all the options a bit, and the result was never better, sometimes it was worse...
Anyway, it didn't work the way I wanted on my printer, nor at a print shop. But he told me that those margins are necessary and can't be avoided, because if they weren't there, the ink would "spill" over the edges while printing.
The only solution was to cut those edges using a guillotine, of course, the size was no longer A4, but the result is more satisfactory than before :D
